Charles Barkley would like Michael Jordan to forgive him so much

Every year, or almost, Charles Barkley takes advantage of interviews to remind that he and Michael Jordan no longer speak to each other. And the confusion does not take long since yesterday since it all started with criticism from “Sir Charles” on the management and decisions of Jordan as owner of the Bobcats and then the Hornets.

“It’s a really unfortunate situation for me and for him. But first and foremost I will do my job. I can’t criticize other coaches and GMs and give him a free pass because he’s my best friend.” reminds Barkley at the Bleacher Report. ” I can not do that. What I said was that Michael needs to surround himself with better people, and I care about his success. When you’re a star, and he’s a very big star, the people around you tell you what you want to hear. I think he doesn’t have the right people around him. »

10 years ago, Jordan and Barkley called to explain each other, and the discussion had not been cordial”.

“I felt like my name was ‘son of a bitch’ and ‘asshole’. Put…, I couldn’t even place a word”, told Sir Charles in 2012. “I said to him, ‘Man, I can’t go on the radio and say you did a good job. »

After ten years of silence, Barkley is ready to take the first step towards his ex-best friend.

I would probably say to him: ‘You know, what I said, I mean it. I’m sorry you took it the wrong way, but let’s get past this bullshit, and let’s get back to playing golf and having a blast. »
