Celtics bring back Neemias Queta and Luke Kornet

A double re-signing for the Celticssince we learn by ESPN And The Athletic that Luke Kornet And Neemias Queta have agreed to return with the reigning champions. For Kornet, this is a one-year contract. For Queta, this is a contract of several years.

Titled a few weeks ago with Boston, the two interiors will try to achieve the “back-to-back” next season, as replacements for Kristaps Porzingis in competition with Al Horford, while awaiting possible additional signings. They were used several times by Joe Mazzulla during the last playoffs, in particular Luke Kornet (for 3.0 points and 3.2 rebounds on average) after Porzingis' injury.

If Luke Kornet has also settled into the rotation of Boston in the regular season (5.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists), Neemias Queta (5.5 points and 4.4 rebounds) spent most of his time in the G-League, on the side of the Maine Celtics (14.4 points, 8.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.9 blocks and 1.1 steals on average), finalists of this championship against the OKC Blue. Proof that things are going well in Massachusetts…
