Career 3-pointers | James Harden equals Ray Allen

On February 10, 2011, Ray Allen became the most prolific 3-point shooter in NBA history. Almost 14 years later, he was overtaken by Stephen Curry obviously, in December 2021, but also soon by James Harden. Because the Clippers player has just matched the total of the former Celtics shooter.

With his three award-winning baskets in the first quarter against the Rockets, he reached 2,973 career 3-pointers, like Ray Allen.

Unfortunately for him, the bearded man couldn't find the target afterwards. He therefore shares, for a few hours because the Clippers play again Sunday evening against Utah, second place with the 2008 and 2013 NBA champion.

And in a few days, James Harden will undoubtedly become the second player in history to exceed 3,000 winning baskets scored. But to catch Stephen Curry – 3,782 successes – it seems impossible.

However, this is not the ambition of the 2018 MVP because, like he confided it recently to our colleague Shams Charania, he sees things differently. “I consider myself number one. Stephen Curry doesn’t count,” estimated the former Houston player, with a little smile on his lips.
