Carbon in the AW2, Andrew Wiggins' new shoe

Launched a little over a year ago, the AW 1, Peak's first signature shoe designed for Andrew Wiggins was a nice surprise. So much so that the Chinese equipment manufacturer has allowed itself the luxury of releasing a second one, the AW2, which has everything to achieve the same result as its big sister.

The model is distinguished by its low synthetic upper, TPU reinforcements on the outer front of the foot and on the heel. But it is above all the new composition of the midsole which attracts curiosity. Peak has in fact stacked two foams, with “P-Ultralight” at the top and Taichi foam at the bottom, separated by a “Foothold +” carbon plate. The technology called “Three Core” thus promises good impact absorption, a feeling of propulsion on the supports and energy transfer ensuring the best explosiveness, as well as a reduction in muscle fatigue in the foot and legs.

On this first AW2, we also note the finishes in the form of a nod to the player, such as his logo on the heel, his signature on the label covering the laces, or his number 22 on the tongue. As for colors, there is something for everyone with orange, white, or even black… The blue model, below, is completed by several shades of sky blue, close to turquoise on the part upper of the upper, and more neutral to bring out the outsole, and also notes of gold, as on the Peak brand logo or the different finishes previously mentioned.

The AW2 is available on the official website of Peak France at the price of 140 euros.
