Victim of a tear in the meniscus, Cameron Johnson had two options: either we cut the torn part, and he could come back in a few weeks, or we sutured the torn part, and it was longer.
According to Brian Windhorst, the Suns winger chose the first option, and he could therefore return within a month or two.
An option which should therefore allow Cameron Johnson to return more quickly, but which leads to more long-term complications, and in particular osteoarthritis. Note also that Cam Johnson had already suffered a meniscus tear when he was still in the NCAA, but it was at the time in the left knee.
Suns forward Cam Johnson had surgery today that removed part of his meniscus, a procedure that should allow him to return in 1-2 months, sources told ESPN.
