Caitlin Clark will be entitled to the Crypto.com Arena

The arrival of Caitlin Clark in the WNBA continues to shake up the championship, on and off the court, and the Sparks have announced that their meeting on May 24 against the Indiana Fever has been moved from the Walter Pyramid, located on the Long Beach State campus at Crypto.com Arena, the Lakers' usual venue.

The reason ? The 5,000 seats at the Walter Pyramid were obviously not enough to meet the numerous requests to see Caitlin Clark, a new phenomenon in women's basketball, play. Since the Crypto.com Arena can accommodate up to 19,000 spectators, the Sparks can expect to sell four times as many seats.

Since women's basketball is on the rise, and the Clark phenomenon is igniting the WNBA, the Sparks have decided to play two more matches at the Crypto.com Arena. It will be May 26 against Dallas, and June 5 against Minnesota.

“Women's basketball is experiencing unprecedented audience and attendance rates. Bringing these matches back to the Crypto.com Arena allows us to have more spectators in the stands and give our players the opportunity to play in their original venue again.”, said Sparks President Christine Monjer.

Before playing at Long Beach State, the Sparks actually played at the Staples Center, and they left the room during construction, without ever returning.
