Cade Cunningham believes he has a place in the All-Star Game

His triple-double in New York (29 points, 15 assists and 10 rebounds) is another stone in the beautiful building of his season. Cade Cunningham is currently having a very solid year statistically with 23.9 points, 9.4 assists and 7.3 rebounds on average (all career records).

It's simple: only Nikola Jokic can boast of having better numbers in each category since the pivot is the second best scorer and passer, in addition to being the best rebounder in the league!

And for once, the player is not shining for nothing since the Pistons are progressing with 10 victories in 25 matches and are in the race for play-in. So, once these observations have been made, can Cade Cunningham imagine himself at the All-Star Game, new version, in February 2025?

“I think I am,” he confirms on possible All-Star status. “As soon as I'm on the floor, I feel like I'm the best player. I do my best to help my team win. My teammates are allowing me to shine this year. »

Two All-Stars for ten years…

“He is clearly among the best exteriors and players I have played with”says Malik Beasley, who still played in Denver with Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, at the Lakers with LeBron James and Anthony Davis, without forgetting with the Wolves and Anthony Edwards or, finally, with the Bucks of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard.

Seeing a Pistons player be present during the All-Star game would be no small feat. Indeed, Blake Griffin is the last Detroit player to have been an All-Star, and that was in 2019. Before him, Andre Drummond, in 2016 then 2018, had also been. But for ten years, that's it. To find traces of another Michigan player among the All-Stars, we have to go back to Allen Iverson in 2009!
