Arturas Karnisovas promised change at the end of last campaign and the Bulls' strongman kept his word by trading Alex Caruso for Josh Giddey then letting it go DeMar DeRozan to the Kings.
Finally, he kept his word halfway because it is an intermediate change for a workforce that the manager would like to modify in depth. According to the Chicago Sun-Timeshe always tries to exchange Zach LaVine And Nikola Vucevicthe other two All-Stars of the “Big Three” who failed to revive the Illinois franchise.
The problem, of course, is that the odds of both players are not very high, given their respective contracts.
A surplus of attack-oriented outsiders
Arturas Karnisovas isn't one to trade for the sake of trading, and he's hoping for a nice return. So he may need a healthy Zach LaVine to have a good start to the season, so he can trade him at the trade deadline to balance out a roster that currently looks pretty shaky.
With the departure of the team's defensive specialist, Alex Caruso, Billy Donovan is therefore potentially left with three “offensive” outside players, Josh Giddey, Zach LaVine And Coby Whitein his top five, with Patrick Williams And Nikola Vucevic to complete the group of incumbents.
But also a surplus of point guards/guards (Ayo Dosunmu, Dalen Terry, Jevon Carter and maybe Lonzo Ball) coming off the bench. A squad that therefore leans a lot (too much) towards the back, and towards the attack…
