Bulls retain Malcolm Hill

While the “training camp” begins at the end of the month, the Bulls are at the stage of finishing their workforce: The Athletic Announces that Malcolm Hill signed a “two-way contract” with the Chicago franchise.

A local of the stage, since he is a native of the region (Fairview Heights) and completed his NCAA course at the university of Illinois between 2013 and 2017, the 26-year-old winger played his first season in the NBA last year. A season started in Atlanta, when the Hawks were severely affected by the health crisis during the winter, then completed in Chicago, first with a 10-day contract and then already with a “two-way contract”. Before this late rookie exercise, Malcolm Hill had played in the German, then Russian and Israeli championship, among others.

In 16 games with the Bulls last season, he averaged 3.4 points and 1.8 rebounds. Still enough, obviously, to convince the leaders of the franchise to give him a place in the workforce, between the G-League and the NBA.

Two-way contract : Designed to create a new bridge between the NBA and the G-League, this type of contract allows each team to secure the services of one or two additional players, mainly to develop them in their development league franchise affiliate but also up to 50 matches in the NBA.
