Bulls cut Marko Simonovic

Drafted in 2020 and arrived in Chicago in 2021 after a final year in Europe, Marko Simonovic never managed to get minutes in Illinois.

In two seasons, he has only played 16 games and 55 minutes, for 23 points scored with the Bulls…

The Montenegrin, who has mostly shone in the G-League, had signed a three-year, $4.3 million contract in 2021, with a final year not guaranteed.

The Chicago franchise had to make the decision whether or not to keep him by this Friday and The Athletic tells us that the Bulls have logically decided to cut it.

As Nikola Vucevic has been extended and Andre Drummond has decided to activate his last year of contract, Marko Simonovic would not have been used more by Billy Donovan next season than he has been for two years.
