Bucks reportedly looking for shooting guard

The interest of Bucks for Landry Shamet is therefore not so insignificant. Indeed, The Athletic We learn that the Milwaukee franchise wants to sign a guard, to fill the gap of Malik Beasley, signed by the Pistons. For this, a workout will be scheduled this week.

And among the players who will pass this test in front of the Bucks, there is a name that is mentioned: Will Barton. The former Denver player (33 years old) did not play in the NBA last season, signing first in Russia, without playing there, then in Spain, where he stayed very little time, before ending up in Puerto Rico. His last game in the Big League dates back to April 9, 2023, with the Raptors, after starting the 2022/23 season with the Wizards.

Another name mentioned by our colleagues: that of Gary Trent Jr. The latter, too greedy concerning his new contract, has not managed to reach an agreement with Toronto for an extension. We are therefore heading towards a divorce, and the Bucks could take advantage of it.

After a season averaging 13.7 points and shooting 39% from 3-point range, will he accept taking a small salary and signing for a single season with a title contender, in order to prove his worth and land a big contract in 2025?
