Bronny James will meet the Suns and the… Lakers

One of the big questions surrounding Draft 2024 (June 26-27) concerns the future destination of Bronny Jamesone of the big names of the vintage even though it is not expected very, very high according to the latest forecasts.

But as he is the son of LeBron James, he benefits from significant media hype which allows him to increase his rating and The Athletic takes the opportunity today to indicate that the 19-year-old player has received around ten invitations to “workouts”. Except that he will only meet a few franchises, like the Suns and Lakers. We don't know what the Jazz invitation will bring.

As a reminder, Phoenix will have the 22nd choice in the next Draft and Los Angeles has its side of the 17th and 55th choices. Difficult, however, to imagine the Suns drafting Bronny James so high, especially since they need an element capable of contributing immediately, given their limited financial room for maneuver. On the other hand, it is entirely possible that the Lakers will find themselves selecting the former USC resident not in the first, but in the second round.

Especially since this would allow LeBron James – whose future remains unclear – to realize one of his biggest dreams, namely to team up with his son.

“All it takes is a team” and…

Note, however, that the franchise which gives Bronny James a chance will have to offer him a very specific type of contract, since Rich Paul doesn’t want a “two-way contract”…

Yes, that's absolutely true. The teams know it. I'm not going to [signer] That » replied the most famous agent, in the columns of Bleacher Report.

Proof that Bronny James' camp believes a lot in the latter's potential.

Some teams think he'll be drafted somewhere between 20th and 40th, others think he'll be drafted somewhere between 30th and 50th, and then there are some who think he won't even be drafted… » then details Rich Paul, concerning the future of his client at the Draft. “ But it only takes a team and it’s something I do every year. It's not about Bronny, he's one of our clients and I have to try and help find the right place and the right deal for all my players. This is how I see things. »
