Bronny James jersey sells for nearly $40,000

A year ago, at an auction, the jersey worn by Victor Wembanyama in the summer league was sold for $62,020. On Friday, the famous Sotheby's auction house offered a sale focused on jerseys worn by rookies during the 2024 summer leagues, and the session record is for Bronny James with $38,400, or about 34,600 euros. Initially, the jersey was estimated at between $6,000 and $10,000.

That's a lot less than the 2023 Bowman U Chrome card that sold for $114,000 last March. What's special about this card? It was signed by Bronny and LeBron James!

During this sale, Zaccharie Risacher's first jersey was sold for $3,3600. This is far from Bronny James, but also from the $15,600 for Reed Sheppard's jersey, the Rockets' rookie. On the sidelines of this sale, a LeBron James jersey sold for $42,000. This is the one he wore on November 15, 2023 against the Kings, and he had signed a triple-double.
