Bronny James in Duke’s sights? | NBA

If LeBron James went straight from high school to the NBA, without going through the NCAA box, what about the course of his eldest, Bronny? Several specialized sites are now reporting strong interest from Duke University. Besides the latter, 247sports believes it knows that Kentucky, Ohio State and Texas would also like to recruit the most famous high school student from Sierra Canyon (Los Angeles).

We imagine that a bunch of establishments would be delighted to offer it both on the sporting level and on the “marketing” level. Be careful though, the 17-year-old young man only occupies the 43rd place in ESPN’s rankings for players in his age group. Suffice to say that it is not a potential “lottery pick” either.

The daily The Fayetteville Observer recalls that this interest from Duke is natural, due to the proximity between LeBron James and the historic coach of the establishment, Mike Krzyzewski. The two spent a lot of time together under the “Team USA” banner, winning Olympic gold medals in 2008 and 2012.

In 2018, the superstar had made a declaration of love to the coach : “ I love Coach K! The best of all ! I hope he will still be at the helm when my son grows up. “It will be recalled, however, that the wish implied by the “King” will not be granted since the 74-year-old coach is retiring at the end of this season, after 40 years with the Blue Devils.

The course of Bronny James will in any case be followed very closely because his father has never hidden his desire to evolve with him. ESPN even reported a few days ago he would be ready to leave Los Angeles to join the team likely to get his hands on his eldest… See you in 2024…
