Brandin Podziemski wants to prove that the Warriors are not a 'failing rock band'

“They're like those rock bands that still tour. They still have their lead singer, who can still perform at the highest level. But they're not the same band they used to be, and they haven't had a hit in years. The title they won against Boston was like a lifetime achievement award. They had the experience and the professionalism, and Boston wasn't ready for that yet.”

The statement, anonymous, of an NBA coach made its way to San Francisco, and Brandin Podziemski.

“We don't like to hear that, but we like to hear that we're going to do something that no one expects us to do.”replied the sophomore from the Bay Area. in a podcast. “They don't think we're like the Warriors of old, and for us, I think that's the best feeling, because we're going to have nothing to lose on the court, and we can just go out there and prove people wrong.”

Yet the face of Golden State has changed a lot since its years of dominance, notably with the departure of Klay Thompson to Dallas, but Stephen Curry and his teammates are still motivated by the quest for the title.

“There are a lot of guys who have that mentality, who thrive on proving people wrong, and I know that Steph [Curry] is one of them. So being around him in the backcourt and all the other guys on the team, we're looking forward to proving people wrong.” concludes Brandin Podziemski.
