Like Cam Whitmore on the Rockets side, Brandin Podziemski has little to do in the summer league and he confirmed it tonight against the Bulls. The Warriors guard finished the game with 21 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists, and he showed that he can take responsibility at 3-point range when the attack can't find a solution.
Alongside him, Trayce Jackson-Davis compiled 17 points and 10 rebounds to allow the Warriors to win 92-82 against the Bulls. Facing him, Adama Sanogo had a very, very complicated evening to the point of picking up 10 fouls: The Warriors are at 5v-0d this summer. But… the great streak could end since it is not certain that Podziemski and “TJD” will play the rest of the competition.
The “poster dunk” of the evening for Buzelis
On the Bulls side, Matas Buzelis signs the best dunk of the evening with a monstrous “poster dunk”, with the foul and the little look that kills. The Lithuanian scores 28 points in 30 minutes with a very correct 10 out of 22 on shots, including a 4 out of 8 on 3-pointers. In fact, the Bulls rookie missed in the first half, and he mainly shone in the second half when the gap fluctuated between 10 and 15 points.
What we see is that he actually has a lot of self-confidence. For example, after a 3-point air ball, he's the one who takes the shot in the second that follows, and this time, he scores the 3-pointer. Or when it comes to playing the one-on-one on Podziemski and scoring after a turnaround jumpshot. On the other hand, we've also seen that he plays the carrot a lot.
