Brandin Podziemski experienced a “surreal” evening in Milwaukee

After Jordan Poole and Kevon Looney, it's the turn of Brandin Podziemski to be the local stop when the Warriors travel to Milwaukee. It only happens once a year, and for this first in the city where he grew up and where he played until high school, the rookie did not disappoint with 23 points and 10 rebounds!

Stephen Curry left to rest, Brandin Podziemski celebrated his 10th start and he shone. “It was great, even though we didn’t win, and that’s the most important thing…” he regrets. “But coming back in front of an environment that I've already known and in front of a lot of people that I know, it's really a surreal moment for me.”

Even his English teacher was there! “ She told me she was glad I chose to go to a military school because otherwise I would have done badly! » he smiled.

Sense of play and talent

Increasingly comfortable, the Warriors rookie no longer hesitates to go for the dunk, or to give free rein to his creation. Something to excite Steve Kerr.

“Brandin was fantastic,” sums up the Warriors coach. “In Steph's absence, we needed his aggression and he delivered. He's a very smart player. He knows how to get to the rim, and he's mastered the Eurostep. He simply has a sense of the game and talent. He grabbed 10 rebounds. That's one of the things we love about him. He always seems to be one step ahead of the game.”
