On September 5th in Zagreb, the national team of Croatia will face a selection of European players to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the birth of Drazen Petrovic, who died on June 7, 1993 in a road accident.
With a month to go before the NBA resumes training, Bojan Bogdanovic, Dario Saric and Ivica Zubac will be there, as well as former stars like Damjan Rudez and Gordan Giricek. The composition of the European selection is not yet known, but it is likely that some of the players present this weekend in Ljubjana for Goran Dragic's jubilee will be there.
Bogdanovic's presence is good news for the Nets since their rookie had surgery on his foot and wrist in April, and his participation means that he is recovered, and that he will therefore be there, at the end of September, for the “training camp”. Arrived in the Mikal Bridges trade, it is a return to the roots for Bogdanovic since he had started his NBA career with the Nets.
The Croatian is also Brooklyn's only recruit this summer since the management decided to focus on continuity in terms of the workforce, but with a new coach: Jordi Fernandez.
