We have often talked about the arrival of “daddy's boys” on the NBA courts like Stephen Curry, Domantas Sabonis, Kobe Bryant, Klay Thompson or Jaren Jackson Jr, but this connection also exists on the sidelines.
In Denver alone, we think of Mike Malone, son of Brendan Malone, or David Adelman, son of Rick Adelman. On the Chicago side, we decided to trust the father and son to coach the two professional teams since The Athletic announces the arrival of Billy Donovan III as coach of the Windy City Bulls.
At the club since 2020, first as a video specialist, then an assistant, the son of the Chicago Bulls coach replaces Henry Domercant at the head of the G-League team. Aged 32, Billy Donovan III started coaching at the age of 23 at Trinity Catholic High School. The following season, he was named coach of Saint Francis Academy.
