Among the most highly rated high school students in the United States, AJ Dybantsa and the twins BoozerCameron and Cayden, faced off for the title of the “Avance At L'Attitude Basketball Classic”, which took place in San Diego this Sunday.
A meeting that was inevitably highly anticipated and closely followed by the various scouts because winger AJ Dybantsa (17 years old, 2m03) is No. 1 in ESPN's High School Rankingswhile it is expected to join the NCAA in 2025.
Opposite, there were the two sons of Carlos Boozer, the power forward Cameron (17 years old, 2m06), who is second in the same ranking, while his twin brother Cayden (17 years old, 1m93), who is a point guard/guard, is in 17th place.
Result? A logical victory for Columbus High School (95-76) of the Boozer brothers, more solid in all positions, against AJ Dybantsa's Utah Prep. The latter nevertheless put on a show, with 43 points. Insufficient against the 42 points (15/23), 15 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks of Cameron Boozer, accompanied by the 30 points and 9 assists of his brother.
As is often the case in these high school games, it was individual talent that was highlighted, particularly on the Utah Prep side, where AJ Dybantsa had almost all the shots.
