Always placed but never winning when a coaching position became available in the NBA, Becky Hammon had therefore deserted the Big League to turn to the WNBA. An excellent decision since she made a double cup: the “Coach Of The Year” trophy and the title with the Las Vegas Aces. Sweet revenge in its first season.
But the former assistant to Gregg Popovich in San Antonio will not stay away from the NBA for long since we actually learned that she was becoming a consultant for ESPN, starting in December.
The coach of the year 2022 will appear on the shows “Get Up”, “First Take”, “SportsCenter” and “NBA Today”. She will therefore be a second face of the WNBA on national television to talk about the NBA after Candace Parker, who can be seen on TNT, alongside Shaquille O’Neal on the set of “Inside The NBA”.
Becky Hammon, head coach of the reigning WNBA Champion Las Vegas Aces, will join ESPN as an NBA studio analyst during the 2022-23 season.
The announcement was made today at the espnW Summit. Hammon will debut on ESPN in December 🏀 #ThatsaW pic.twitter.com/iENNef4IZv
