Bam Adebayo disappointed to have missed the “All-Defensive First Team” again

The All-Defensive Teams of the Year were released on Tuesday and have inevitably had their fair share of disappointments. Among them are Bam Adebayo, which aimed for the “All-Defensive First Team” but ultimately ended up in the second best five of the year. It must be said that this is the fourth consecutive time that he has finished in the second five…

“There is always work to be done. I still want the title of best defender of the year and to be part of the All-Defensive First Team”, he claimed yesterday before Game 5 against the Knicks.

In the best defensive five of the playoffs?

Preceded by Brook Lopez And Jaren Jackson Jr.voted best defender of the year, but also Evan Mobleywho feature in the best defensive five of the season, Bam Adebayo can boast of having achieved a much better playoff campaign than his little comrades, all eliminated in the first round.

For him, however, it is there that we can best judge the quality of a defender.

“I have the impression that no one notices (its defensive impact) not really before the playoff series, ”he added. “Yet that’s when people can really start to see who I am, what I can do and how special I am.”

Between Joel Embiid, Bam Adebayo And Anthony Davisthe best defensive five of these playoffs would indeed have a completely different pace than that of the regular season.
