Back to square one for Moses Brown

If he showed his best side in the shirt of OKC in 2020/21, it is in Portland that Moses Brown made his NBA debut the previous season. After having chained freelancing for two years with Dallas, Cleveland, the Clippers and Brooklyn, he is back to square one.

Adrian Wojnarowski has indeed announced that the pivot had signed up with the Blazers for a one-year “partially guaranteed” contract. This one might look like a contract Exhibit 10 which will allow Moses Brown to prove himself during training camp and pre-season before being either committed to “two-way contract”or engaged in the first team.

Currently the Blazers still have a place for a “two-way contract” and have only 12 players under guaranteed contract, for only one real position 5, Jusuf Nurkic.

Two-way contract : designed to create a new bridge between the NBA and the G-League, this type of contract allows each team to secure the services of one or two additional players, to develop them mainly in their development league franchise affiliate but also up to 50 NBA games.

Exhibit-10 : gateway to the G-League, since this contract signed at the time of the “training camp” binds the player to the G-League team affiliated with an NBA franchise. The clause comes with a bounty of $5,000 to $50,000, valid only if, once cut, the player commits to the affiliated G-League team and stays there for at least 60 days. The clause also allows the NBA franchise to convert the contract into a “two-way contract”, prior to the regular season. If she does, the player receives the mentioned bounty.
