Back in Europe, Aleksej Pokusevski does not forget the NBA

After failing to find a spot in the NBA this summer, Aleksej Pokusevski looked to Europe and signed with Partizan Belgrade, like Frank Ntilikina. Why this choice? “I feel good at Partizan and I think I can improve a lot here”, he assures.

The former Charlotte player adds that it is a “extraordinary honor to work with Zeljko Obradovic”and says that feeling wanted – especially when that's not the case in the NBA – weighed in his decision.

“My goal was to go somewhere where I could progress, and knowing that Zeljko wanted me was important to me.”he continues. “I'm ready to work hard, learn and help my team. I'm excited to see what we can do together.”

While he is eager to play for Partizan Belgrade, Aleksej Pokusevski has not forgotten the NBA. Even if his first stint, in Oklahoma City and Charlotte, was disappointing, especially because of injuries. Nevertheless, he remains young (22 years old) and returning to the United States is not impossible to imagine.

“Partizan is the best option to progress and give 100% in every game. For the future, we'll see. My dream is to return to the NBA one day, but for now, I'm focused on improving and becoming the best version of myself,” he declares.
