“Baby Dunks-a-Lot,” Jayson Tatum’s Children’s Comic

Jayson Tatum never misses an opportunity to bring his son “Deuce” everywhere he goes, to the point where the latter has become a bit of a mascot for the Celtics team. Despite his rather busy schedule between his first NBA championship title and the Olympic medal, the promotion of Tatum 3 marked by a tour in China, JT took the time to please the youngest by releasing a comic book called “Baby Dunks-a-Lot”.

Co-written by author Sam Apple and illustrated by Parker-Nia Gordon, it tells the story of a baby who realizes he has the power… to dunk! Enough to launch him into a premature NBA career during which he will face superstars like LeBron James, Stephen Curry and a Grant Williams lookalike, whose personality, great pal of “Deuce” when the position 4 was playing in Boston, and who therefore finds himself in good company.

Reading for Deuce

After mentioning that his son was of course an inspiration for writing the children's story, Jayson Tatum added that “Deuce” would also be given a championship ring at the season opener scheduled for the restart. All that would be missing is for him to dunk to celebrate!

Finally, JT spoke about the strong relationship he has had since his beginnings with his mother, who was his first support, a role he now tries to play with his son, using all the means at his disposal, like this comic book, to serve as a source of inspiration.

“My mom is my best friend and she always encouraged me to make things happen, to believe in myself. I always had a goal. We always had a plan of what I was trying to accomplish and I think it’s really important to have that support system, to have someone who believes in you like she did because I wouldn’t be here without her.”, he stressed.

Released since September 10, “Baby Dunks-a-Lot” is available for sale internationally in the original version.
