The Bulls will win at least one trophy this season… The NBA announced thatAyo Dosunmu was indeed the recipient of the Bob Lanier Offseason Community Assist Award for his efforts to uplift and inspire the youth of his hometown of Chicago.
The 23-year-old, who started his foundation to help educate young people, hosted several charity events during the offseason in Chicago. In particular, he set up several basketball courses in which nearly 200 children participated.
The 38th overall pick in the 2021 Draft also launched “Ayo’s Scholars,” a support program for his former elementary school, Beasley Academic Center. Ayo Dosunmu organized a gathering for more than 1,000 students to celebrate the program. He also gave sneakers to more than 350 students at another elementary school.
