Australia part ways with two players

They were still 18 on Saturday, and they are now only 13… Like other nations, Australia is adjusting its workforce, and is parting with certain elements. This time, it is Matthew Dellavedova and Will McDowell-White who are not retained, and the decision was made after the meeting against the University of Houston.

Aged 33, Dellavedova is an Australian basketball legend but coach Brian Goorjian preferred to rely on the youth of Josh Giddey and Dante Exum to lead the game, while Patty Mills is still there to play the blasters in attack. Absent from this last friendly match, Jock Landale was spared for a sprained ankle, but the Australian Federation specifies that he will be part of the trip to Asia.

Before that, Australia will face Venezuela, Brazil and South Sudan on August 14, 16 and 17 in Melbourne.

EFFECTIVE : Xavier Cooks, Dyson Daniels, Dante Exum, Josh Giddey, Chris Goulding, Josh Green, Joe Ingles, Nick Kay, Jock Landale, Patty Mills, Duop Reath and Matisse Thybulle.
