At the top of the Raptors, a new CEO from the world of golf

The new arrival, fifth CEO in 25 years of history for the structure, will start his mandate at the beginning of next April, replacing Michael Friisdahl, after an interim period from Cynthia Devine.

Keith Pelley joins MLSE after serving as President of the European Tour Group (now DP World Tour), Europe's largest men's professional golf tour, since 2015. Prior to that, the The 60-year-old had held numerous executive positions in sports, entertainment and media in the Toronto area.

He notably evolved as president of Rogers Media, of the Canadian Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium, CEO of the Toronto Argonauts and president of TSN, where he cut his teeth in the 1980s. Chairman of the board of directors of MLSE, Larry Tanenbaum sees in him “ one of the most accomplished leaders of [l]'industry in the fields of sports, entertainment and media'.

Happy to return home, the man who recently took the reins of the international golf federation explains: “ It’s an opportunity I couldn’t resist because of what this city and its teams mean to me. I look forward to joining MLSE in April and bringing to the organization the values ​​– culture, teamwork and community – that have been so important to me during my career. »
