At the end of the effort, the Raptors dominate the very clumsy Suns

No eighth victory in a row for the Sunsbeaten by the Raptors has Toronto (112-105) at the end of a narrow and contested match, which did not really make an impression with the quality of the attacks.

Particularly that of Phoenixwho finished the match at 40% on shots with his two best players in difficulty: Devin Booker with only 8 points at 2/12 on shots, and Kevin Durant with 30 points… in 30 shots.

Not much sharper (45%), the Raptors’ attack was however able to make the difference on a few key possessions in the fourth quarter, notably behind the arc and on the offensive rebound, driven by Pascal Siakam (22 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists) and Scottie Barnes (23 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocks).

After two defeats in a row on the road, the Raptors are relaunching with a victory at the end of the effort, certainly appreciable for confidence before the reception of the Knicks on Friday.

WHAT YOU MUST REMEMBER

Devin Booker was expected. Author so far of the best season of his career on the offensive level (29.4 points per game), “Book” experienced his first turn of the season on the floor of the Scotiabank Arena: 8 points to 2/ 12 on shots, and the worst “plus/minus” of his team at -15. Defended throughout the match by Scottie Barnes, OG Anunoby and Pascal Siakam, tall, lanky wingers, the Suns back was targeted and stifled on the numerous possessions where he carried the ball. And in an evening where he was generally clumsy, he therefore did not manage to weigh as much as usual for a month.
