At least two more weeks of absence for Chris Paul

The Warriors had promised to provide an update on the progress of the injury Chris Paul, operated on for a new fracture of his left hand, at the end of January. It's done and the leader is not yet ready to return.

The former Hornets, Clippers, Rockets, Thunder and Suns player was thus authorized to participate in light individual sessions, with a splint. It will now be re-evaluated in two weeks.

Still, it is absolutely not certain that Chris Paul, at 38 years old, will ever play again for the Warriors.

While he will receive $30.8 million this season, the next year of his contract ($30 million) is not guaranteed at all, and it can therefore perfectly be used in an exchange, between now and the “trade deadline” of February 8, since it can be released at the end of the year.

According to Shams Charania, the playmaker and Andrew Wiggins are thus the players most likely to pack their bags in the coming days in the Bay, if the club actually makes a trade.
