Apart from the last formation mentioned, whose position 2 is already well occupied, it is therefore only high-ranking teams looking for a replacement capable of blasting the opponents’ defences.
This is what the 29-year-old has done very well for the past three seasons with the Jazz, where he has increased his points average to 17 units, in the regular season and in the playoffs. His production, higher than with the Lakers or the Cavs, allowed him to win the title of 6th man of the year in 2021. Flat with him, a selection of shots and an address (42% including 32% from afar last year) sometimes questionable, just like his defensive investment.
However, it remains a reasonable investment. While Mike Conley and Bojan Bogdanovic, targeted by the Suns or the Lakers, receive respectively 23.7 million dollars and 19.6 million dollars, the rear only emerges at 13.3 million dollars. This one will be able to benefit from a “player option” the following year at 14.3 million dollars.
