Assistant Dejan Milojevic hospitalized, Warriors game postponed

The Warriors season is definitely complicated, at all levels. ESPN indeed announces that the assistant Dejan Milojevic is hospitalized after a “sudden and serious health problem” in a Salt Lake City restaurant.

The 46-year-old Serb accompanied the team to Utah, where the Warriors are playing this Wednesday evening.

Triple MVP of the Adriatic League, between 2004 and 2006, Dejan Milojevic played from 1994 to 2009, notably at Buducnost Podgorica, Partizan Belgrea and Galatasaray. He was also part of the Serbian selection, winning Euro 2001 alongside Dejan Bodiroga, Marko Jaric and Peja Stojakovic.

The Warriors will not play Wednesday night

Converted into coaching, he first managed Mega Basket, coaching quite a few players who would then go to the NBA: Nikola Jokic, Vasilije Micic, Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot, Ivica Zubac, Goga Bitadze…

Since 2021, he has been on Steve Kerr's staff, where he works with the interiors, helping them in particular with rebounding.

ESPN adds that the Warriors' coaching staff remained at the Salt Lake City hospital until late last night to stay with Dejan Milojevic, and that they are currently returning there.

As the situation is serious, the NBA has decided to postpone the meeting between the Warriors and the Jazz this Wednesday evening.
