Assistant Chad Forcier reunites with Mike Budenholzer at the Suns

To compose his staff, Mike Budenholzer will look for former collaborators. After Vince Legarza, it is indeed Chad Forcier who will join the new Suns coach in Phoenix, we learn Deseret News.

Assistant to the Jazz this season, he has an impressive CV. Chad Forcier has been on the benches of the league for more than twenty years, with stints in Detroit, Indiana and especially San Antonio. He stayed in Texas for almost a decade, winning the title in 2014, and beginning his joint adventure there with Mike Budenholzer.

Then, he joined Orlando, then Memphis and Milwaukee in 2019, where he worked again with Mike Budenholzer and won a second ring, in 2021. He is the third assistant coach of the Suns since, in addition to the old acquaintances of the Coach David Fizdale finally saved his spot in Arizona.

As for the Jazz and coach Will Hardy, it's a second departure this spring after that of Lamar Skeeter, who will accompany Charles Lee to Charlotte. To replace them, our colleagues explain that the franchise will move towards internal promotions and not necessarily recruit elsewhere.
