As a superhero, Dejounte Murray defeats the Celtics at the last second!

Still deprived of Trae Young, Jalen Johnson and Saddiq Bey, the Hawks achieve the feat of beating the Celtics twice in 48 hours! Like Tuesday evening, the scenario is completely crazy, since Quin Snyder's players win 123-122 after overtime, on a last-second basket from Dejounte Murray!

The former Spurs leader has been holding the team at arm's length for a month, and he quite simply signs his best career game with 44 points, including his team's 11 points in overtime, and therefore this winning basket on the face of Jrue Holiday, one of the best defenders on the planet.

Jayson Tatum misses another shot to win

Before that, we had witnessed an incessant back-and-forth. A real playoff match, and 40 seconds from the end of the 4th quarter, Jaylen Brown had given a three-point lead on a very difficult mid-range basket (112-109). On the next possession, the Hawks missed the equalizing shot, but the ball returned to the hands of Bogdan Bogdanovic, who, in a catch-and-shoot, equalized at 3-points (112-112). Jayson Tatum has the victory ball, but, once again, his off-balance shot does not hit the mark.

We go into overtime, and there, Murray becomes simply exceptional. He looks for the “mismatch” against Kristaps Porzingis, and his shot, in a bell, is a marvel. The Hawks leader is irresistible. But the Celtics hang on, and six seconds from the siren, it's Jaylen Brown who gives the Celtics the advantage (122-121). There's a handful of seconds left, and Murray has Holiday on his back. Once again, he takes a shot, almost bell-shaped, from mid-range, and he puts it in. There is still a tenth to play. The Hawks achieve the feat of winning!

What you must remember

– Murray grits his teeth. Dejounte Murray was very doubtful before the match, due to lower back pain. He finally held his place, and he signed his best career game with 44 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. In “Trae Young” mode, he sprayed a lot with 18 out of 44 on shots, including 6 out of 19 from 3-point range! But in overtime, he scored 11 points on 5 of 8 shots.

– Offensive rebound. Like this equalizing basket from Bogdan Bogdanovic in the “money time” on a second chance, the Celtics failed to rebound. The Hawks collected 17 offensive rebounds, including 7 for Clint Capela alone! They thus recovered more than a third of their missed shots, which they transformed into 28 points!
