Anthony Edwards confirms he's aiming for an NFL career in a few years

“I think I might be the first.” » This is what was declared Anthony Edwards a year ago about the possibility of moving from the NBA to the NFL. This would indeed be unheard of, and like Allen Iverson or LeBron James, Anthony Edwards could undoubtedly have had a great career in American football. But unlike these two glorious elders, the Wolves full-back wants to follow his ideas through to the end.

“I told my friends, if I win a title in the next three or four years, I will move on to football” he said. We can't help but think of Michael Jordan who, worn out by the conquest of his first “Three-peat” and marked by the assassination of his father, decided to leave basketball to try a career in baseball. It was a failure.

For Edwards, the NFL has always been a goal, and we remember that before his Draft, by the Wolves, he had confided “not being really into basketball yet” and that he would have preferred to be drafted in the NFL, because he had more fun on the American football fields than on the basketball courts.

A few days ago, Brandon Podziemski announced that he saw himself starting a professional career in baseball, after his NBA career.
