If all goes well for the Wolves on the field, with a final victory in Miami which allows the club to remain at the top of the West (20 wins – 5 losses), and even the league, tied with the Celtics, Anthony Edwards, on the other hand, has to deal with a “bad buzz” coming from social networks.
Model on Instagram, where she has more than 400,000 followers, Paige Jordae published her conversations with the rear of Minneapolis, after telling him that she had become pregnant.
Anthony Edwards then replies that he does not want children before telling the influencer to “have an abortion lol”.
The rest of the conversations resembled a disjointed negotiation, with the basketball player promising money in exchange for videos proving that Paige Jordae took abortion pills. After several days, the latter becomes annoyed at not receiving the money, while Anthony Edwards promises that his lawyer will take care of it. In the end, a payment of $100,000 appears to be made.
In the wake of the publication of the conversations, the 22-year-old All-Star published a press release on social networks, in an attempt to calm things down.
“I made hot comments that are unlike me and that do not correspond to what I believe in and what I want to be as a man”, he writes. “All women should be supported and encouraged to make their own decisions about their bodies and what is best for them. I manage my personal affairs privately and will not comment on this matter at this time.”
