Anthony Davis now injured in the eye…

Troubled by his left foot last week, and absent against Memphis, Anthony Davis can't get out of it. Against the Raptors, and after scoring 22 points, he suffered an injury to his left eye, like last March.

It was on a dunk attempt by Jakob Poeltl, which he blocked, in the third quarter, that the inside of the Lakers was hit in the face and eye by the hand of his opponent. He remained on the ground for several seconds, with his hand in front of his eyes, before returning to the locker room.

“I know he was hit and had difficulty seeing. After eye trauma, it takes a little time to regain your vision »commented JJ Redick, who had no further details to provide.

ESPN specifies that, faced with the swelling, Anthony Davis had difficulty keeping his left eye open. He will be examined by an ophthalmologist this Monday.

The Lakers, who beat the Raptors, play again Wednesday night against the Grizzlies and, to reassure themselves, Los Angeles fans can remember that, last season, after his eye problem against the Warriors, he did not have missed no meeting in the process.
