Anthony Davis allows the Lakers to have a quiet evening against the Rockets

Returning home after their road trip in the East, the Lakers intend to launch their first “real” series of victories, especially since they rely on an almost complete group, reinforced by Rui Hachimura and especially Jarred Vanderbilt. Facing them ? THE Rocketswho have yet to win this season away (in seven games).

This black series will not have ended for Houstonbecause Los Angeles imposed his law on his floor (107-97), in the wake of a super Anthony Davis (27 points, 14 rebounds, 5 blocks). Once is not custom, LeBron James didn't have to work (16 points, 7 assists) and it's Austin Reaves (18 points, 3 interceptions) who shone as a lieutenant of “AD”.

For the Lakers, the difference was created from the second quarter, when they passed a 20-0 to their Texan opponents. Despite Fred VanVleet (22 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds) or Alperen Sengun (21 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists), the Rockets did not manage to come back from the evening, chasing the score without coming back below the ten point difference.

WHAT YOU MUST REMEMBER

Los Angeles knocks out Houston in the second quarter. Trailing by around ten points in the first twelve minutes, the Lakers then came back into contact and they finally made the difference in this match during the second quarter, with an impressive run from 20-0 to sign an overall 35-14 over the period! At the origin of this terrible sequence? Anthony Davis and Austin Reaves, untenable in attack given their great connection, while the Californian defense also went up a notch in order to completely suffocate the Rockets. The icing on the cake: LeBron James’ “360 layup”!

Houston has a problem away from home. Eight games, eight losses. This is the Rockets' away record this season. Back in the negative, the players of Ime Udoka (sent off in the fourth quarter, because of a clash with LeBron James and therefore a second technical foul) travel very poorly and, again this night, they demonstrated. Capable of some good sequences, the Texans are irregular on each side and, when they are eaten up in the racket, it is impossible (or almost) for them to hope for anything. Especially if their bench doesn't provide enough either.
