In the middle of the photo shoot in the heart of the Emory Sports Medicine Complex (the Hawks' training center) this Friday morning, Anthony Brossard and Zacharie Risacher exchanged a knowing look. His individual coach at JL Bourg gave him a little pat on the chest before “Risacz” gave him a little smile in front of thirty photographers and journalists. A snapshot revealing the complicity of the two men.
Arriving Thursday morning in Georgia the day after the draft, the Risacher camp began discussions with the Hawks to continue this collaboration. “It’s heading in the right direction and if it comes to fruition, I will be by his side next season”Anthony Brossard explains to DNA of Sports.
An ASVEL contingent in Atlanta?
A disciple of Pierre Murtin, the 38-year-old technician has solid experience as a trainer. First and foremost at the ASVEL training center where he imagined himself spending his entire career before becoming the individual coach of Zaccharie Risacher at JL Bourg. “I would like him to accompany me to Atlanta as he did to Bourg-en-Bresse,” abounds the main interested party. We created something good that allowed me to evolve quickly while maintaining my work ethic as the matches continued. »
With the Hawks, Anthony Brossard would thus be reunited with two of his former colleagues from ASVEL, both of whom arrived last year in Atlanta: Bryan George, a member of the DAV (individual development, assistance and video) unit of Quin Snyder's staff, and Jordan Sensi, still based in Lyon and now a scout for the Georgian franchise.
