Another year for Alex Len in Sacramento

Domantas Sabonis already knows the name of his backup for next year, and it should still be Alex Len. According to Shams Charaniathe replacement interior intends to re-sign with the Kings for an additional year to the tune of $3.3 million.

The Ukrainian, who earned just under $4 million last season, can hardly expect more given his recent performances.

While he was still averaging 6 points and 4 rebounds during the 2021-22 season, Alex Len has since had two very discreet seasons: around 2 points and 2 rebounds per evening with 8 minutes of play, and in 74 cumulative appearances.

It must be said that the team's No. 1 pivot is one of the most used players in the league with 36 minutes of play on average. It's not easy to exist behind the Lithuanian, especially since Len also had to deal with competition from JaVale McGee.

The 31-year-old has seen his production and playing time drop drastically since he signed his best performance of his career. It was during the 2018-19 season with the Hawks, with whom he averaged 11 points and 5 rebounds.
