Anfernee Simons out for at least a month…

More bad news for Portland who faced the Magic without Anfernee Simons tonight.

The back of the Blazers, propelled as the team’s first offensive option since the departure of Damian Lillard, injured his right thumb against the Clippers on Wednesday. The verdict came after the MRI taken Thursday evening, and Anfernee Simons suffered a tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in her thumb.

His injury will require an operation, for an absence estimated at four to six weeks by the Oregon franchise. This is obviously a hard blow for the training of Chauncey Billups, but also for the player, who has had to wait for so long in the shadow of Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum with the Blazers.
