Small surprise among the players’ union since Andre Iguodala was appointed executive director of the association, replacing Tamika Tremaglio, in office since only January 2022.
The lawyer, former consultant for the Deloitte firm, had thus taken over from Michele Roberts, who had restored order after the very controversial passage of Billy Hunter. But Tamika Tremaglio ultimately only negotiated the last collective agreement. As soon as it is signed, she thus let the players know that she wanted to leave.
Now retired, and well respected by his peers, Andre Iguodala will therefore take over the position.
However, the former Warriors player will only act on an interim basis, with the players’ union now looking for a new executive director, probably with legal training.
