And another record for Caitlin Clark!

Like Angel Reese, Caitlin Clark is shaking up and even revolutionizing the WNBA, and tonight again, the Fever guard grabbed a new record. This time, it's the one for the most 3-pointers made in a season by a rookie. In the win over the Sun, Clark compiled 19 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds with a 3 of 12 from 3-point range. Three three-pointers that allow her to reach a total of 88 for this season, and to erase Rhyne Howard's record, set in 2022. Clark has nine games left to raise it to immense heights.

Incidentally, this same Clark becomes the first player to string together six games with at least 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. It is also her 10th game in a row with at least 15 points and 5 assists, and she equals Diana Taurasi's record, established in… 2010!

A franchise record for Mitchell

In that same game, teammate Kelsey Mitchell became the first player in Fever history to string together five straight games with 20 or more points. “It's really, really hard to do in this league.”, Clark reacts to Mitchell. “In my eyes, she is one of the most underrated players. Every night, she is very consistent and efficient. She is always someone I can count on, and I had a lot of fun building our cohesion during this season.”

The cherry on the cake is that the Fever ended a run of 11 straight defeats against the Sun, who they hadn't beaten for three years! “The maturity and tenacity my players showed tonight is simply incredible.”enthuses Christie Sides, the Fever's coach. “We've seen them grow, from when we started to where they are today. Connecticut is an incredible team. I'm very proud of these players.”
