An exceptional “double-double” for Draymond Green

Seven years ago, Draymond Green had signed a unique triple-double. Never in history has a player achieved a triple-double without reaching the 10-point mark. That evening, in a victory against the Grizzlies, the Warriors star only scored 4 points, but he added 12 rebounds, 10 assists, 10 steals and even 5 blocks! Within six points, he signed a quadruple-double!

Friday night, in the same vein, Draymond Green became the first player to achieve a double-double without taking a single shot! While he had blazed 3-pointers against the Lakers during the week, the inside of the Warriors took neither a shot nor a free throw! On arrival, he obviously failed, but he compiled 12 rebounds and 11 assists. Unfortunately, the Warriors lost…

To a journalist who asked him if he would exchange a few rebounds or passes for Green's shots, this is what Steve Kerr answered.

“I don’t care if Draymond shoots or not. He does everything else, and he was incredible tonight.” Kerr reacted. “His defense is so good, his competitive spirit… In the second half, I thought our guys, the way they fought and their energy, were amazing to watch. »

Unfortunately, the Warriors lost and they probably said goodbye to 8th place. But Kerr remembers the manner. “They have been there for 12 or 15 years… They have won titles, they played until June… And now, they are fighting for the play-in. They are Hall Of Famers, and we see their efforts, their fight to get back in the game and give us a chance to win. That's wonderful. »
