James Harden may no longer rule the NBA like it did in the heyday, but its signature shoes still hold up. Adidas has racked its brains again to concoct a Harden Vol. 8 with a design that is at least original while sticking to the profile of “The Beard” on a technical level.
For this new colorway called “After Hours,” the three-stripe brand has gone back to basics with a classic black and white model. Paired with a sock-like collar similar to Trae Young's first signature shoes, the predominantly black upper is contrasted by a touch of white at the forefoot. The sole also appears in black and white with purple under the central part of the outsole. The midsole is made of Adidas Boost foam and Lightstrike cushioning.
Available on Basket4Ballers Priced at 160 euros, the “After Hours” colorway is therefore the seventh different version of James Harden's eighth signature shoe available in France. The latter will have plenty of time to wear it next fall at the Clippers' Intuit Dome, with whom he has re-signed on a two-year, $70 million contract.
