From December 19, 2023 to January 20, 2024, fans will have the opportunity to select the players they want to see compete in the 73rd edition of the All-Star Gamescheduled for February 18 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse inIndianapolis. An edition synonymous with a return to the traditional East/West formula.
During these four weeks it will be possible to submit a complete ballot daily, via the NBA application or the NBA.com site, and no longer on X (formerly Twitter as before). All those currently present in the NBA squad will be able to be chosen.
Additionally, six 3-for-1 days will allow fans to cast a triple count vote: December 25, January 1, January 5, January 12, January 15, and finally January 19.
Results on January 25
It will then be the choices of the players and journalists who will be mixed with those of the fans, to designate the five starters for this 2024 All-Star Game (two in the backcourtthree in the frontcourt). Fans will still represent 50% of the votes, while players and the media panel will represent 25% each.
Progress reports on the fan vote will be communicated by the NBA on January 4, 11 and 18. TNT will announce the starters for this all-star game, including the two captains (those who received the most votes in each conference), on January 25. Before revealing the identity of the replacements, selected by the coaches, on February 1.
