Alex Len leaving towards Indiana

The terms of the exchange which allowed Memphis to save money by sending Marcus Smart to the Wizards have almost gone unnoticed. The role of Sacramento in the case was however essential, with the consequence of the departures of Marvin Bagley III and Johnny Davis towards the Grizzlies, but also those of Colby Jones and Alex Len towards Washington.

For Alex Len, after a visit at the end of the 2019-2020 season, it is the end of an adventure of almost four years in Sacramento, where his role of rotation has remained minimal since his arrival with barely more than 7 minutes On average per game since his return in 2021. It is however not the end of his trip since Washington, where he thwarted played in 2020-2021 should not keep it.

According to Shams Charaniathe interior should be quickly cut and its final destination would be already known. After letting James Wiseman spin at Raptors, the Pacers would thus intend to recover it to expand the rotation of Rick Carlisle in the paint, alongside Pascal Siakam, Myles Turner, Obi Toppin and Thomas Bryant.
