After his buzzer beater, DJ Steward lands a two-way contract with the Bulls

Fullback in a leader's body (1m88), DJ Steward had probably left Duke too early. Despite his 13 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 steals with the Blue Devils in 2020/21, he had not been drafted.

Since then, he has mainly played in the G-League, first with the Stockton Kings, then the Maine Celtics.

For this Las Vegas Summer League, this Illinois native joined the Bulls' squad, and he has just signed a 34-point game, with the “buzzer beater” as a bonus for the victory, against the Hawks.

Enough to allow him to land a “two-way contract” with the Chicago franchise, ESPN announces bluntly.
