It is the Mavericks who best enter the meeting, through Kyrie Irving. The Bucks suffer to find Giannis Antetokounmpo, targeted by the Texan Defense, and they bowed in this first quarter (36-31). Things come alive in the second, with Gary Trent Jr. who responds to Klay Thompson at 3-PTS.
The Greek is always embarrassed by the taking of two but, patient and just, it drops the ball at the right time: it gives passes for Damian Lillard and Taurean Prince at 3-PTS. Then he frees himself from his channels and chains the baskets. The Bucks finished the first period well and join the locker room with advance (63-71).
The nail was sunk from the start of the third quarter. Milwaukee is not in a big evening but Dallas either, with a 3-PTS address which deserted the ranks in this third quarter.
These minutes are painful for the Texans and we go up to twenty points apart (79-101). Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson are trying to relaunch the group at the start of the last act, but the Bucks hold out and Giannis Antetokounmpo drives the highlight in the last moments. Logical final victory of the Bucks, 117-132.
What to remember
– Giannis antetokounmpo in pattern mode. After imposing his will on the Nuggets, the Greek did the same in front of the Mavericks. Nevertheless, he did it with less violence since the defense has long prevented his movements. He therefore distributed the assists, before doing his usual damage near the circle, sticking a big dunk on Moses Brown for example. Result: in just 32 minutes, he compiles 29 points (9/14 in the shoot), 9 rebounds, 9 assists with no lost ball and a +/- of +22. Clean, very clean.
– Two good success in a row for Milwaukee. The Bucks have just hung Denver and Dallas to their hunting board. With each time a giannis of Gala, but also a solid collective at times, with second knives. We cannot say that it is an impressive machine that starts but it turns and everyone is in their role.
– Moses Brown renders proud services. Already the author of a good match against the Hornets, the pivot, signed for a ten -day contract, has reoffended. Limited by his faults, he still managed to register 18/9 points in the shoot and take 9 rebounds in 22 minutes. His passage to Dallas, whether or not, will have proven that he could be useful under the panels for a team that needs it.
