After Cameron Brink, Rhyne Howard's injury worries the United States women's 3×3

This is the tile for the American 3×3 team… Rhyne Howard indeed came out with an injury in the third quarter of the match between the Atlanta Dream and the Minnesota Lynx. On a penetration and what seemed to be a “euro step”, the rear of the Dream placed his support on the foot of his opponent.

An injury that looks like a sprained ankle for the first choice of the 2022 Draft, but Tanisha Wright, the Dream coach, did not give more details.

Examinations will have to be carried out in the coming hours to know the duration of its unavailability. Especially since Rhyne Howard was selected for the 3×3 event for the Olympic Games and the selection has already lost Cameron Brink. Two injuries that occur as the competition begins on July 30.

Season over for Cameron Brink

The sentence fell for Cameron Brink who was injured against the Sun on Tuesday. The second choice in the 2024 Draft suffers from a ruptured cruciate ligament in his left knee and his season is already over.

Cameron Brink was due to participate in the Olympic 3×3 competition in Paris, following on from her title as world champion in the discipline last summer. A missed opportunity to win her first Olympic title and inevitably a big disappointment for the Los Angeles Sparks player.

“You never think it will happen to you”reacted Cameron Brink. “And despite all the hard work, sometimes that’s the case. It's hard to understand but I know it will make me stronger. I will not derail and I will continue to love this life. Basketball doesn't define me, but it is something I love deeply and I will work every day to get back to it. It's not a goodbye to basketball, it's just a see you later. »
